The service is usually great but again we get waters and ice cream. I always get the 'here comes the fudge' which is vanilla ice cream with hot fudge and a fudge brownie. So good!
This place is super cute. I loved the atmosphere, the staff, and especially the food. Everything tasted great and the sundaes are to die for! Please visit this place if you are down the shore! They even have a mini arcade, gift shop, and mini golf course on site!!! It doesn't get better than Duffers.
All in all, homemade ice cream with amazing sundaes! The children love the train that drives around the ceiling of the restaurant!
We go for the ice cream. The sundaes are amazing. My aunt has always taken us here since we were children every summer vacation to wildwood or cape May. I would give five stars for the nostalgia but that wouldn't be fair. The wait times are pretty long averaging over an hour - for good reason, the desserts are amazing. They have an arcade for the children but its absolutely crammed tight and so busy you can barely move. The bathrooms are also in this section and they are seldom clean from either the shear amount of people or because of children.
The food was pretty good. Could be better. The hostess told us there wouldnt be a wait but when we asked to put in our name, she gave us a buzzer and said 10-15 minutes. When we finally got seated there were open tables all around us so we were confused. The table was sticky when we sat down and there was food on the floor under the table. I asked the waitress if someone could come wipe the table down and she said yes but nobody came. Also, I ordered a side order which I had to then ask her to bring after my food came. it's very loud in here and a lot of kids. The waitresses don't look happy to be there either.
Waiters and food were amazing. But, i happened to leave my cell phone there, and after calling from my friends cell, all i got was ignorance and rudeness said to me. They didn't even bother to let me explain the wallet it was in. Luckily, it had no money inside. Overall, terrible customer service from the gift shop. I am however glad i had a very polite waiter and very delicious food. I am satisfied, but also very disappointed.
Been going here since I was a kid, and I always get a giant fudge sundae which never disappoints. Make reservations in the summer cause it's always busy, and for a good reason.
