I make a point of hitting this place every time I'm in the area.
I love the ambiance, the great music that's loud enough to enjoy but soft enough that you can also have a conversation.
The atmosphere was fun. I wasn't around in the 50's, but I'm sure it looked like the Doo Wop. The food is NOW. You'll see lots of trendy burgers on the menu. I went with the Buffalo chicken sandwich--crispy fried chicken with spicy buffalo sauce served in a long roll. Plenty for 2 people. The onion rings are perfectly battered and fried. Crisp with tender, sweet onion. Lots of fun varieties of milkshakes. Careful not to fill up on them as they are served before your meal comes out.
Great food, wonderful staff. Can it be a bit slow if the place is jumping? Yes. That's a sign they're doing it right. Everything is fresh cooked, and piping hot and delicious when it hits your table.
The server wear cute pink poodle skirts and the entire atmosphere is delightful. 1950's diner truly resonates throughout. Our server was peppy and cheerful. Good service! But their highlight is their Angus burger selection. Unlike the fast food on the rest of the boardwalk, your food is freshly made so you can take the time to sit and talk while you wait for quality food. And boy do I mean quality! One of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Definitely a go to spot on the boardwalk for me.
The menu specifically mentions that if you're looking for fast, move along. This isn't heat lamp food, and takes a while to prepare.
Great and fun food. 50s themed food with creative options. It's tempting to come back soon to try something different. Fast, clean, and the waitress was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back.
Place was packed, still managed a seat quickly, server was very accommodating and worker the high volume establishment well. The food was just fine , typical diner items nothing more or less. Service was great even with the high volume of customers.
