First time at this restaurant, been by it a million times never gave it a thought being it's not very pretty on the outside. Well let me tell you, hands down Amazing!! from the ambience
I was there with around 40 or 50 people for a meeting. Everyone was served around the same time, and no one's meal got cold before the rest of the meals were served. The wait staff was very polite and respectful.
So far we had to get the table by the kitchen. I know someone has to get it, but we had a reservation so I guess I had hoped for a much better table. Maybe we should have used my last name, Delle Donne, instead of my friend's last name of Burns
Went here for dinner with my family for a birthday party. Staff was freindly and the food was delicious. Their mushroom filet was one of the best steaks I have had in this area.
to our waitress Marie. The salad is So So Good
The soup was bland, and I wasn't a fan. But I tried not to let that deter me. They next brought out the bread dipping sauce (picture below) but no bread. Then came the salad, which I thought was amazing! But, if you're not a big fan of garlic it will not be your cup of tea. I, on the other hand, absolutely love garlic, so it was a huge win for me. The salad is served family style and I went back for seconds! The bread came out while we were eating our salad, which was warm and delicious. I didn't try the dipping sauce because I'm not a fan of black olives. Then came out a lemon sorbet to cleanse the pallet (picture below). It was so good that ended up eating the whole thing! It was creamy and the lemon was not super overpowering.
Nice, homey atmosphere. Thought the ravioli & stuffed shells were a little bland. Gravy was good. Great salad. Good service.
First time at Alfie's and there were many people raving about the food, but I had also heard some negatives, so I went in not sure what to expect.
I ordered the shrimp scampi, and I was very pleasantly surprised. There was a lot of shrimp on it, and it was relatively large shrimp, which was a plus. The scampi sauce was delicious. Creamy and garlicky, but not too overpowering. And the noodles were cooked perfectly for me, although I like my pasta a little softer than al dente, so it may not have met someone else's standards. For dessert we were served a small portion of chocolate ice cream. You could tell it was homemade and I found myself scraping the jar clean!
We had a pretty great meal. I'm not sure I would go out of my way to return, but I would definitely come again.
Can't wait to go again!!!!
and the special sauce "Jacki" is heavenly.
